Robert S. Walluck, 1951-2022

Robert S. Walluck
Robert S. “Bob” Walluck of Tullahoma Tennessee, formerly of New Jersey died at his home on Sunday May 15, 2022, at the age of 70. Mr. Walluck is survived by his son, Nicholas R. Walluck (Kirsten Bean) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; sister, Ginger Walluck of Bogota New Jersey; and sister, Mary Ann Walluck of Florida; and longtime girlfriend, Sharon Roth of Florida. A visitation will be held on Friday May 20th at Daves Culbertson in Tullahoma from 2-4. A celebration of his life will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday May 23, 2022 at London’s in Tullahoma, Tennessee for family and friends to gather and raise a glass to toast his memory & invite his former colleagues, family and friends around the country to join in a toast wherever they are to remember Bob at this time. Feel free to wear any New York Team gear as Bob would have loved to see support for the Jets or Yankees.

Bob was born June 1951 in Hackensack New Jersey; the son of the late Stella & Ziegmund “Ziggy” Walluck. Bob attended Bogota High School in New Jersey graduating in 1969 where he promptly adventured with friends in a road trip to Colorado in true 60’s spirit – camping in a VW van along the way. Bob maintained close ties with his road trip buddies throughout his life and fondly remembered this trip until his passing.

Shortly after this adventure, Bob returned to Jersey where he attended the New Jersey Police academy. After graduation he held positions as a Police Officer in Long Branch New Jersey, later as a Detective Long Branch New Jersey as well as the Major Crimes Bureau of the Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor.

Bob was a devoted father, retiring from police work in 1991 shortly after the birth of his son and relocating to the Tennessee area. While in Tennessee, Bob briefly held positions as a private detective and as a probation officer for Coffee County. In addition, Bob held positions in auto sales with Pearson and Barnett. Bob was also active in the Tullahoma community as a volunteer before health problems limited his ability to serve.

Although Bob was assimilated to Tennessee after living over 30 years of his life here, he remained a Jersey boy at heart - steadfast in his support of the Jets and devotion to the Garden State until his death.

Online condolences may be made at www.davesculbertsonfuneralhome.com.
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Timothy James Eigo, November 28, 1951 - March 29, 2022

Timothy James Eigo

Timothy James Eigo of Montclair, NJ, formerly of Teaneck, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, following a brief illness. He was 70 years old.

Tim was born on November 28, 1951 to Gloria (née Schwab) and D.P. “Nic” Eigo. The middle child of three sons, he grew up in Bogota, NJ and spent his summers in Hudson, NY with his brothers on their family farm. He moved to Montclair recently after 28 years in Teaneck, where he and his wife raised their family.

After graduating from Bogota High School in 1969, he spent the next eight years involved in political and social activism and attended four colleges before ultimately graduating in 1977 from Arizona State University.

Tim then began his career as a radio journalist at NBC Sports, which included time as part of an Emmy award-winning, baseball pre-game show. However, Tim chose to change career paths, and after completing a graduate education program at St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ, he joined nearby Hudson Catholic High School as a social studies teacher in 1984.

His sense of humor and penchant for storytelling gave him the unique ability to connect with and inspire his students. Although Tim would often joke that “teaching is not a calling, but an affliction,” his 32-year tenure at Hudson Catholic is testament to both his devotion to his students and the art of teaching.

Tim was an exceptional teacher, who challenged his students’ perspectives and showed them what was possible through learning, critical thinking, and a healthy sense of skepticism towards authority. For decades it was impossible to walk down a street in Hudson County without hearing a former student yell, “Hey, Mr. Eigo!” Famous around the building for his “Eigo-isms,” he was beloved by students and faculty alike. He was inducted as a member of the school’s Hall of Fame in 2016.

Tim was endlessly devoted to Anna, his wife of 38 years, and their daughter Gillian, something he told to anyone and everyone he met. He left them notes each morning on his way to work, coached every soccer and softball season of Gillian’s childhood, and strove each day to be a better partner and father than the day before.

He enjoyed live music and the written word. A child of the ’60s, he loved the Grateful Dead and identified with many of the themes their music evoked. A true Eigo, he adored the many dogs he was so happy to share his life with. Tim had an exceptional and rich intelligence; he could provide trenchant analysis, mordant witticism, or skilled and entertaining repartée—sometimes simultaneously, as the moment required. It is his sense of humor, however, for which he is best remembered. It was unique and contagious, and few things brought him more joy than hearing the laughter of those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all those lucky enough to have known him.

Tim is survived by his wife Anna, daughter Gillian, son-in-law Charlie (and their dog Nena); his brother Mike and his wife Mary Anne of Edmonds, WA; adopted brother Pete and his wife Diane of Blairstown, NJ; cousins Liz of Kittanning, PA and Kate of Indianapolis, IN, and countless friends and former students. He was predeceased by his parents, Nic and Lorry of Bogota, NJ, and brother Jeff of Maywood, NJ.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be a private cremation. In keeping with the Eigo family tradition, a celebration of his life will be held later this year. We ask that any friends who wish to honor Tim’s memory make a contribution to the Joel Ramos Memorial Scholarship Fund (checks can be sent c/o Brian Slattery, Hudson Catholic Regional High School, 790 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306) or The Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinson.org).

Helen Clara Cooper October 21, 2013

Helen Clara Cooper

Kristi Cooper passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 21, 2013.

She was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on January 16, 1951, to William and Beatrice (Nyce) Cooper. Her family, which also consisted of her older brother, William Cooper, and her sister, Kathleen (Cooper) Bailey, lived in Bogota, New Jersey. She graduated from Bogota High School in 1969.

She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a nurse, which was a profession that brought her a lot of joy. She attended Greenwich School of Nursing, which was in Greenwich, Connecticut. She graduated as a registered nurse with her nursing certificate in 1972. Even after her retirement in 2011, she was always known as 'Nurse Kristi'.

Her first job was at Boston General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. This is where she met her husband, Dale Desmond. They moved to Oregon upon his acceptance to the University of Oregon School of Law in 1973. She would often joke that it rained for 40 days and 40 nights when she first arrived to Lane County. She fell in love with the proximity to nature and the liberal atmosphere that was present in the area.

Kristi and Dale had two children: Erika King, married to J King; and William Cooper-Desmond, married to Stephany Cooper-Desmond. Dale had two children from his previous marriage, Laura Desmond and Lisa Keown, whom Kristi loved as her own, as well. Her love for her children was only outshined by her love for her eight grandsons.

Kristi is survived by her sister, Kathleen Bailey, who resides in Loudon, Tennessee; her brother, William Cooper, who resides in Bakersfield, California; her children; her grandchildren; her extended family; and her many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Kristi will be remembered as someone who loved with all she was, and who would give everything to let you know it. She was strong, beautiful, and generous. She was loved by her family, her many friends, and by thousands of patients she cared for. She often said that her favorite animal was the butterfly, and we know that she has now spread her wings. Though her physical presence has left us, her spirit and her love will forever live within all of those who were touched by her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013, 6:00 pm at Lamb Cottage in Skinner Butte Park in Eugene, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Heifer International, Kristi's most beloved charitable organization.
